Waiting in Hong Kong airport

About another ten minutes to boarding and fifty to take off. I can't wait to get to Osaka and see Y-chan and A-chan again and I'll get to see A-chan's two very cute kids!
London was awesome and I'll get some pics up on Facebook when I get back to NZ.

But for now I went to the Doctor Who Experience when I was in London and so here is an amusing photo I took ^_^

Yes you really have to watch out for those weeping angels. They'll get you every time the blighters!

[identity profile] unjaundiced.livejournal.com 2011-09-24 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
You're evil. I've started to watch Who again and they're showing my favorite D10!!! :DDDDDD

Sorry but every time I see Matt Smith I want to draw in his eyebrows or something... >.> Or something.

[identity profile] ree-rhea.livejournal.com 2011-09-24 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
Oh but seriously its twisty and dark and good storytelling at the moment. You really should watch. Especially that Neil Gaiman one about the TARDIS...watch 11. Watch him!

[identity profile] unjaundiced.livejournal.com 2011-09-24 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
My mother sees the trailers for Doctor Who and she gets freaked out so I can't watch when she's home. She's scared of monsters and aliens and stuff and doesn't get it when I try to explain what the Doctor is. XDDDD

It doesn't help that they bunch the trailers in with Bedlam, Luther (with Idris Elba getting his hand hammered >.<) and Terra Nova and Primeval.

[identity profile] ree-rhea.livejournal.com 2011-09-24 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
T-T *boohoo* Doctor Who isn't scary! Watch it! Watch it! It's those other shows fault! grrr

[identity profile] unjaundiced.livejournal.com 2011-09-24 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
She also saw the one trailer where D11 is trying to distract what's his face and telling him he'll kiss him as he's trying to dial the Tardis and she was just like ... What's going on...

[identity profile] ree-rhea.livejournal.com 2011-09-24 08:51 am (UTC)(link)
hahahaha that episode hasn't played yet... :D

[identity profile] evilnobara.livejournal.com 2011-09-07 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay! ^_^; I can't realy understand the picture, but it looks funny. (O_o Maybe because I don't know much about the "Doctor Who Experience"?)

^_^ I wish you a safe trip, and a lot of fun. I hope you will make a lot of photos! XD And please make an extra picture for me about Rini, how he looks like in your suitcase!

[identity profile] ree-rhea.livejournal.com 2011-09-24 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
Ahhh if you haven't watched Doctor Who then you won't know what the weeping angels are. D:

I had lots of fun but no Rini in my suitcase (luckily! It was too heavy with all the doujinshi and things!) XD

[identity profile] unjaundiced.livejournal.com 2011-09-24 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
What is this luckily thing? Surely you mean "tragically"!

[identity profile] ree-rhea.livejournal.com 2011-09-24 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
Luckily - or I would have had to pay excess baggage. That is super expensive and why I shipped stuff back instead. Otherwise yes it was 'tragically'. XDDDD

[identity profile] unjaundiced.livejournal.com 2011-09-24 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
Are you calling me fat? XDDDDD
Was it really cheaper to ship stuff back? I know shipping out of Japan is costly unless you use DHL or something (which I do)

[identity profile] ree-rhea.livejournal.com 2011-09-24 08:54 am (UTC)(link)
I shipped 9kg out of Japan and it cost 6000-ish yen. The cheapest air option was 14000-ish yen. If you have to pay for excess luggage some airlines charge like about $100 per kg...

Also as I've never seen a photo of you I wouldn't know if you are skinny, fat, a dwarf, a giant or what. I doubt thou that you weigh 23kg which is the luggage limit. If you did I would be very very worried - are you anorexic or a little kid???

[identity profile] unjaundiced.livejournal.com 2011-09-25 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, I'm surprised it was that cheap to ship that much. Though, if you go by standard Japan Post, the prices would eat you alive. The air option is super expensive though... That's pretty close to Australia's prices. >.>

But dear gods of anything! $100 per kg??? D:
They usually charge you an extra fee if you go over 50lb which is almost the same as 23kg or you can get another bag. I would have just stuffed the books in a bag and taken it on the plane as a 'personal item'. XDDDD

Though I guess they're really lenient about the carry-on rules coming out of Hawaii because we took all our stuff as carry-ons. 1 carry on, 1 personal item? I take FIVE! And they didn't weigh anything.
Flying from the mainland was horrid though. We had to check almost everything in and they wanted to weigh all our carry-ons. I was busy falling apart because some drunk guy was yelling at me so she didn't even ask to weigh my bags, lol. *cries forever*

I am a skinny necked, fat armed/legged giant dwarf. HOW DID YOU KNOW!

I WISH I was 23 kg though! I could probably fly if I tied myself to a sheet kite or something!

[identity profile] ree-rhea.livejournal.com 2011-10-01 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah the air price was super expensive, I was like uh no thanks. The guy was trying to convince me that I shouldn't ship the stuff back but I was like - the address is correct, someone will be there to receive it and nothing went wrong with all the other shipping that I've done so ship the damn thing thanks.

There are a couple of airline companies that I've flown with before that have weighed my hand baggage and I've been like 'oh piss off!' I always have heavy hand luggage...

[identity profile] unjaundiced.livejournal.com 2011-10-01 08:31 am (UTC)(link)
After the earthquake happened, someone I know shipped all her stuff home and it cost her $700. She said she should have just recycled it or donated it since it was so expensive. But the stuff she sent back was probably worth a lot of money. You should have found a DHL office and banged on the door. They usually have cheap rates. XD

Just stuff your things inside a pouch and pretend you're really fat/pregnant when you go to check in. Then suddenly become unfat/pregnant in the bathroom. XD

[identity profile] ree-rhea.livejournal.com 2011-10-01 08:50 am (UTC)(link)
and then get checked for bombs/terroism etc etc...

[identity profile] unjaundiced.livejournal.com 2011-10-01 09:00 am (UTC)(link)
throw a fit if they try to molest you for being pregnant... with books. XDDDDDD
