Well I've been sewing quite a lot lately and bought quite a few new patterns too.  Here's a list of the patterns used with the finished piece!  Thanks to mum I'm getting better and am able to figure out more how to alter the patterns so that they fit over my bust better without then being too big/small anywhere else.  Also I'm so happy with my sewing dummy RED (yes I named her, not very original thou).  I was playing with her dials today and getting all the measurements right for me.  The only thing that is different is the body length one.  Don't know how to change the body height on her (from neck to waist)...

Vogue pattern V8571

this was originally going to be just a mock up but it turned out so well and fit well that I'm keeping it ^_^

Burda 7798

the bust isn't sitting quite right on RED but fits well on me ^_^

drafted skirt pattern

This skirt is made form furnishing fabric I got on clearance (yay). It looks good with purple I discovered.

drafted skirt pattern again

This looks a bit silly with the tee tucked in (and I'll never wear it like that!) but it's a cute skirt. This pattern was drafted for me about 10 years ago off a skirt from Glassons (go House of G!!!) It fits so well still. A classic.

Skirt - New Look 6470, Waistcoat - Simplicity 4079

This skirt and waistcoat weren't actually made to be wore together its just how I took the photo. Both are actually quite easy to make. The skirt which has a elastic waist I can finish in about 2 hours from start to finish. These are made from furnishing fabrics and are actually both for my mum.

McCall's M5138

The shirt isn't quite finished here. I still have to do the buttons and button-holes (and get mum to show me how). I changed the sleeves a little on this b/c I thought it looked cuter like this. This is just another mock up and I still have to play with the shoulder width as it's going to be a little too wide in the shoulders for me I think.

New Look 6776

This dress was kind of a bitch to make. I had to alter the bust b/c it was a bit too small for me. I had already made this dress for my niece and it had turned out nicely but its been problem after problem this time! Had to alter the straps a little and even here its not quite finished you just can't tell from the front ^_~

I like the little blouse - it's a cute style. What's the actual fabric going to be? And the black skirt and waistcoat *could* go together, it'd just be a very dramatic look! Nice work, in all.

It's going to be a green material with light green spots. It's a sage-y sort of green. I have another shirt pattern as well so I'm going to be mocking that shirt up as well (same material as this one) and it'll be one pattern or the other for that material. I need to make myself a few shirts for next year when I enter the work force again so I'm getting a head start ^_^

The skirt-waistcoat combo would be dramatic but I don't think my mum would ever do it which is probably kinda good. She's already worn the skirt out (it was finished before the waistcoat) and she paired it with a black tee and a red cardi it looked really good.
